June 28th 2008 - Well the golf course is back to normal after the rains brought the flood that covered most of the back nine. Rick's crew worked very hard to get the course back to the shape it is in now. We finally have the 13th hole open as a par 4 and the course has dryed out significantly. Thanks to everybody for their patience and be sure to check turf tips for course info.
We have got off to a rough start with our Mens events although with great numbers for the ones we have played. Thanks to all who participated.The last Mens Event was on June 14th "High Ball Low Ball" with the team of Matt 'Tank' Schachte, Phil Engle, and John Veza coming in first with an excellent Blind Draw for their fourth player. Great Job!!! Next up is our annual Flag Day next friday July 4th, make sure you make your tee times at the pro shop.
As we get into the heat of things in early July and into the month of August we have a few important dates to remember. The next men's event #6 Florida Scramble is on July 12th. The Mens Member Guest tournament is on August 1st and 2nd, with this year the member guest tournament is a fiday afternoon nine hole practice round and saturday 18 holes best ball and 9 hole scramble with tee times starting in the morning.
I would just like to thank everyone again who has come out and enjoyed their experience at West Chase Golf Club this year.
